The most common reason is that the customer card was declined. 

This can happen for a number of reasons, such as insufficient funds, expired cards or incorrect card details.

Another common reason for payment failures is that the billing address entered by the customer does not match their card address. This is usually because the customer has moved since they last updated their card details, so their new address is not yet registered with their bank.

 

If you see the message “Payment failed” when you try to checkout with WooCommerce, it means that your payment was not completed successfully. This can be for a number of reasons, such as an incorrect credit card number or expiration date, a problem with your bank, or insufficient funds in your account. If you are unsure of the cause, we recommend contacting your bank or card issuer for more information.
